When I visit a wonderful place in my adopted home—Way Out West—I want to tell you about it. I want to paint word pictures of just what I’ve seen. If you’ve been to a place I’m writing about, I hope you’ll say “That’s just how it was,” or “I remember that.” I want you to walk around for a while with that place in your head. And be glad to return, if only in your mind.
If I’m talking about a place you haven’t been to, I want you to feel as if you would know the spot for sure if you saw it.
I am drawn to the lesser known destinations, the places that may take a little work to get to, the locales that aren’t on the freeways. Places where wild nature still lives, places people haven’t yet worn out. The West is full of these places.
So join me as we wander west!

Well, I’ll be, hon! How did you get the hang of this so fast? One minute you hatch a notion in a Starbucks, and the next you’re a damn bloggin’ Annie Proulx. Though I’m slightly miffed that you didn’t include Curves in your thumbnail resume, I am certainly thrilled to be able to claim you as a pal and a fellow traveler.
Bravissima,
Connie

Hi Ann and Stan, you have certainly made our part of the world interesting. If I did not already live here I would be checking it out. Writing is yummy and the pictures are beyond. I’ll keep checking in.
I really liked the stuff about Trinity and several of the links are great.

“So what’s the tsunami takeaway?”
Questions that are now surfacing for the very 1st time in human history:
How will coastal communities survive the coming big quake tsunami?
How will current real estate values adjust for location relative to the tsunami zone?
What type of redevelopment will be planned after the next big tsunami wipes the slate clean?
How do we build a sustainable civilization? – http://www.triplepundit.com/author/sldi/
